23 October 1997 Peter Cody graduated from the Dublin Institute of Technology in 1990 with honours, and worked with Alvaro Siza from 1992-95. In 1995 he took up a Fullbright scholarship and last year he graduated with honours from the Architectural Design program in Columbia University. He is at present a visiting scholar at Columbia and working in private practice in New York, in conjunction with others.

CLAUDIO SILVESTRIN Claudio Silvestrin, Italian-born London-based architect has been in partnership with John Pawson. Focusing primarily on domestic projects, interiors, small gardens and retail design he completed, with John Pawson, in 1995, the Neuendorf Villa, Mallorca. Known for his austere minimal design, he is currently building a house with small gallery on the Vico Road, Killiney which will be completed early next year.

NiEANAIGH ARCHITECTS Michael McGarry and Siobhan NiEanaigh's Drogheda-based practice was founded in 1986. Since then they have been the recipients of many awards for their buildings and projects. Their recently completed office building in Leopardstown, Co Dublin (Irish Architect September 1997) displays an extraordinary control and attention to detail which characterizes so much of the work of this Irish practice |

27 November 1997 Brit Andresen and Peter O'Gorman lecture in architecture at the University of Queensland, Australia, and have been in practise together since 1997. Their recent built work includes some small timber houses built of Australian eucalipts. Their work has always displayed a passionate interest in site, and its place in the larger landscape and has lead to an innate understanding of habitation in relationship with the powerful landscape of Australia. |

11 December 1997 Florian Beigel is a London-based architect, born and educated in Germany. His First Major Work, the Half Moon Theatre, completed in 1985 briught him to public prominence. Since then he has completed a number of beautifully made small-scale apartment and interior projects, while, in conjunction with the Architecture Research unit he has worked on large scale urban and landscape projects and competitions. |
