First published in 1912, this is an interesting account of bike trips around the various villages outside the then suburbs but now swallowed by the expansion of the city. Originally it was intended for cyclists, walkers, and ramblers and was illustrated by the author's own photographs but it is now an invaluable record of local lore and history.
