I am a Industrial Designer working for a web development firm - Volta Digital Media in Dublin, Ireland where I am a Director in charge of design and production. With a strong interest in architecture, I completed a M.A in History of Art in 1996, at the National College of Art and Design, Dublin on the work of the Irish architect Michael Scott, specifically the building and design of Busáras (1945-1953), the Central Bus Station in Dublin.

The eventual aim of the Architectural Dublin website is to produce an introductory guide to the architecture, architects and development of Dublin from its earliest beginnings through to the present day. Architectural Dublin has picked up many awards along the way including the Irish Internet Awards Best Non-Commercial Site Award for 1997.

Architectural Dublin is a part or archéire - a site dedicated to the promotion of Irish architecture - past, present and future. Among many awards, archéire has been awarded the Lycos Top 5% Award. All images and text on the Architectural Dublin website are copyright of Paul Clerkin. Any suggestions for buildings for inclusion or requests for more information on Archeire, Architectural Dublin or Busáras, contact: [email protected]. Alternatively you can post a message to our discussion boards or a digital postcard.
